sarah and evan met when they were 7 and 8 years old, respectively. they began “dating” before either of them could drive, their mom’s unknowingly being their secret rendezvous chauffeurs. one of sarah’s favorite dates with evan was when they drove themselves to a picnic on the beach one cool march evening, complete with a trunk full of firewood, fancy dinners in take out boxes, sand, and no unlocked bathroom in sight. unfortunately, that last item was a deal breaker and caused the magic to be cut short.
for sarah and evan’s engagement session we revisited the picnic theme, sans the beach, fire wood, fancy dinners, sand, and locked banos. this one was a retro themed picnic with our cute as a button couple surrounded by all kinds of cool vintage items, which we’d like to personally thank sarah and evan’s families for providing. some of our favorites were the circa 1952 schwinn, the antique kaleidoscope, the circa 1940’s or 50’s typewriter, the old philco radio (evan loves his sports), and the sweet vintage polaroid camera.
what’s your favorite?
sarah and evan, we can’t wait for your wedding next month. that’s right, it’s less than one month away!
time flies when you’re having picnics.
when the sun went down we headed over to a local drive in movie theater and took as many pictures of sarah and evan as we could until we were told to put the cameras away… then we took a few more. hold the line. we’ll save those shots for some other time.
