aloha everyone! it’s so hot this week. i need a shave ice… stat! while i’m waiting for that, these images from rachelle and patrick’s wedding at Bali Hai have us missing hawaii big time, but still smiling.
from the time we arrived at humphrey’s half moon inn to catch the finishing touches on the girls’ hair and makeup, to the last portrait of rachelle and patrick as daylight faded away, their whole wedding day was one awesome luau. the only thing that wasn’t good was that it ended.
rachelle and patrick, we absolutely love you guys, like, walking on la jolla shores, holding hands, full-on-pda kinda love. our first meeting with you was exactly like your first date at opera. as soon as you walked in and smiled we had cartoon hearts in our eyes. when you said you wanted to have a lightsaber duel at your engagement session we immediately took down our match.com profile because we knew you were the ones for us. you guys just have a way of making everyone around you happier than they ever thought they could be, and that’s not the booze talking. seeing the love you have for each other and the admiration all of your family and friends have for you is something special. i can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. i think it’s going to be even better than a little house on the prairie wagon with a case of tempranillo, an xbox, and a playstation in it.
speaking of tempranillo, have you seen winezombie.com yet? check out their CA wine regions before you take your next tasting trip.
who needs a mirror when you have an iphone?
i love prizes! especially Toms (hand-painted by the bride), Coach clutches (super cute), and fun 3-finger mustache rings.
let me just pause here for a second to thank julia and her patrick for telling rachelle and her patrick (aka phoenix) about us. thank you! we can’t wait to see you again!
i only have one word to describe rachelle and all of her bridesmaids… stunning.
who’s ready for the first look?
patrick was looking sharp, and had his trademark smile on.
chuck’s chucks. see what i did there?
it was hard to hear over the wind and tears, but i know i heard rachelle tell patrick that she will never leave his side, not even if there is a zombocalypse. that’s love right there.
love – these – smiles!
i love you! i know.
break it down!
here we have paolo and marissa, serious contenders for the title of funnest couple on the planet. we’re shooting their wedding next year and i already know it’s going to be awesome!
getting back to present day, paolo, having previously sampled a bali hai mai tai, already knew what marissa was in for.
poor, poor marissa.
to say they’re strong is the understatement of your life. they are straight up rocket fuel. rocket fuel with fruit garnish.
having sampled maybe 1 or 2 other drinks, patrick was all like, “what are you guys talking about? this mai tai is delicious.”
as we were taking pictures on the dock next to this beautiful yacht, the owner of “don’t sea me” saw us. he was having dinner at bali hai and came walking toward us. having been kicked out of more places than i have fingers and toes, we were fully prepared to get the old heave-ho. instead, he totally surprised us by offering to let us shoot on his boat.
how cool is that guy?
very.
i didn’t get his name, but if he, or anyone that knows him, is out there reading this i have to say, thank you again! the world needs more people like you.
