Megan and Nick wedding at Rimrock Ranch

Every time I head out to the desert I think of The Joshua Tree album. In particular, I hear the words from In God’s Country in my mind. There is something about the simplicity of the desert that calms my soul. As Bono sang, “she is liberty, and she comes to rescue me.” As we drive over the mountains, and into the desert, the blur of our everyday lives falls away. Slowly, the desert floor comes into focus, and our existence is given clarity again. We see life in its purest form. It is precious. In this place, perhaps more than anywhere, we are reminded how difficult it is for a single entity to survive on it’s own. This unforgiving region shows us that relationships are needed to thrive. Only when bonds are formed do the two individuals truly begin to flourish.

Enter Megan and Nick. They don’t live in the desert, but they chose to have their wedding at Rimrock Ranch. In this beautiful place, far from the noise of Southern California cities, and out of cell phone range, they gathered family and friends to witness their vows of unending love for each other. The intimate ceremony and desert backdrop made for one unforgettable day.

Megan and Nick, you are such a wonderful couple. We couldn’t be happier for you. Thank you so much for allowing us to witness, and photograph, your wedding. You both looked incredible. We couldn’t get enough of the smiles on your faces. We pray that every day you get to share together in this life that you are filled with the joy you felt this day.
