i’m not even ready to be done with halloween and thanksgiving just passed me by. cripes! my clone better arrive before christmas.
getting back to halloween, or in this case hallowedding, i have to say, after posting jennifer and bryan’s spooky engagement session in balboa park, and their backwoods engagement session in san diego, we’ve been dying to share these wedding shots. we looked forward to their halloween theme wedding in San Diego all year, and it did not disappoint.
jennifer and bryan got ready at the rancho bernardo inn and then head to san rafael catholic church for the ceremony. jennifer, bryan, and their bridal party suited up in traditional wedding attire for the church ceremony. it was, by jennifer’s description, a solemn catholic ceremony at san rafael catholic church, but any solemness ended right there. upon exiting the church, jennifer, bryan, and their entire bridal party did a quick change into their super suits and revealed their secret identities as team awesome. they woke the dead and brought the party to life for the reception at the museum of man in balboa park. all guests in attendance showed up in costumes of their own for the halloween theme reception. it was crazy! i hadn’t seen that many cool costumes since the lion king on broadway. you can see some of the costumed madness by clicking this link or by scrolling to the bottom of this post for the slideshow.
jennifer and bryan, we can’t thank you enough. i know how much work you put into this and i’m sure i speak for everyone that was there when i say you did an amazing job… a completely over the top, friggin amazing job. when we tell people it’s ok to have fun on their wedding day, this is what we’re talking about. we love it! we love you! you are two of the coolest people on the planet and we’re so glad we got to share this experience with you. congratulations! you can rest now. oh wait…
turtle’s ink makes mine look like a tiny scribble.
eric from ronk did a beautiful job with all the girls hair.
jennifer, you look amazing. see for yourself.
one word jennifer, wow. wait, i spelled that backwards. wow! you are stunning!
how beautiful is this girl? sizzle factor 11!
love this shot. she’s so vogue italia.
jennifer thought she was unbreakable… until bryan got close for their first look. i love first looks!
liquid happiness
bryan and jennifer couldn’t look any hotter if they were standing on the sun. ayeeeee!
mr. and mrs.
if you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… team awesome!
this is such a rad group. jennifer and bryan had these costumes custom made for the entire bridal party. some of the finishing touches were done at the last minute, like that day kind of last minute. they came out looking… well… awesome!
i love it when a plan comes together.
watch for team awesome at comic-con 2011.
just in case guests forgot to wear a costume to the reception, jennifer and bryan had a whole costume table there, full of disguises.
justin and his awesome staff from authentic flavors catering were on hand and slingin a mean grease. they seriously make THE best food anywhere. literally everything they make is awesome.
i love hors d’oeuvres. they make me feel like a giant.
where can i get my own mirror ball skull? i need to know.
the toxic-tini and rotten apple that ebs (event beverage solutions) whipped up were delicious. people couldn’t keep their hands off them, or out of them.
i loved jennifer and bryan’s table cards. these were pretty cool, but each table was named after a bar from a movie or tv show.
how many receptions have you been to where there was a giant glowing dia de la muerta skull on one wall and horror movie scenes playing on another?
eat, drink, and be scary!
bryan, being a huge simpson’s fan, had to put moe’s tavern in the mix. he doesn’t know it, but kim says he put in ten forward for her. she love’s star trek.
this one on the right is the only one we couldn’t figure out.
does anyone know what movie or show fjinger’s is from?
gotta love the drunken clam.
a couple classic favorites, mos eisley cantina and the prancing pony. fyi, han shot first.
authentic flavors did a sweet job making the zombie wedding cake, complete with little jennifer and bryan fending off the top layer.
what would you use to cut a zombie wedding cake? of course… a machete!
the halloween candy station was in full effect
love these faces!
there were so many good costumes. here are some of our favorites.
thanks to andy from disc go round dj for supplying the beats.
i see your schwartz is as big as mine. whoohoo!
