stacey is most definitely a cutie, but jeff didn’t meet her at a beauty salon with a baby louis vuitton under her under arm.
they met at USC on the first day of their mba program.
stacey went up to jeff and said, i can tell you rock. i can tell by ya charm.
jeff responded with, i’m lookin for the one. have you seen her? my psychic told me she gonna have a ass like serena.
it was kismet.
since i wasn’t there i can’t be sure that’s exactly how it went down. regardless of the actual dialogue, that initial meeting turned into a friendship that led to a romance that brought us all to this day, their wedding day. oh, and there was that time when jeff said his favorite costume was wonder woman. that may have been the catalyst that formed their friendship originally. even if it wasn’t, i couldn’t leave that out. (in case you haven’t guessed, stacey and jeff have a rad sense of humor. we likey.)
in all seriousness, i have to say that stacey and jeff are two of the most genuinely nice and selfless people we have ever met. in every experience we have had with them they have gone above and beyond to make sure everyone around them was taken care of, and then some. like when they heard we were going to take a road trip to the east coast to shoot whitney and man’s wedding in new york. we told stacey and jeff that we planned to do a pizza challenge along the way with the first contender being an authentic chicago deep dish pizza, then an authentic new york thin crust pizza. they instantly recommended giordano’s in chicago as the best. we totally believed them because, as it turned out, they actually had some pizzas from giordano’s flown out from chicago to laguna beach for their wedding. it was so good! after sampling the pizza that was shipped cross-country, jeff said just wait, the fresh one is twice as good. (we tested that statement when we stopped in chicago later that month. it checked out.) more on the pizza challenge later (when we post shots from our trip).
even though it was their wedding day, they had all their guest in mind constantly. i can only try to imagine the amount of prep time stacey and jeff put into their wedding. there was so much going on that the ringling brothers would have been impressed, but stacey and jeff still made time to go around to every guest and share a few minutes with them. they both did everything they could to make it a day we will all remember, and they succeeded.
one thing i have come to realize about myself is that i suck at thank you’s. even though i am grateful from here to the moon for all that i have, i struggle with how to express it properly. jeff and stacey, we could thank you every day until we’re 90 and it still wouldn’t be enough. in my native language i would simply say, you’re both so awesome! every minute my family and i shared with you was an absolute pleasure. we all feel blessed to know you and call you friends.
mazel tov stacey and jeff!
i wish you safe travels, a lifetime of happy memories together, and i thank you in the most sincere way i know how… through pictures.
jeff pulled off a major proposal prank on stacey as the floated in the sky over turkey. Â that story, the theme behind this awesome canvas and wedding comic strip jeff and stacey had made, can be found in our post from their engagement session at the lacma.
stacey gets ready like the fonz. she looks in a mirror, realizes she’s already perfect, and says… aaaayyyy!

stacey had some super sweet custom wedding items.
first was this cool hanger with their names twisted into it, second was her awesome brooch bouquet. as if it hadn’t already won for best bouquet ever, it earned bonus points for including one brooch that belonged to stacey’s grandma. then there was her beautiful dress. it had it’s own aura.
stuart weitzman provided the fresh and so clean clean shoes.
jeff was sittin in the livin room, calm and collected. feelin that “gotta get mine” prospective.
stacey got these little dudes while she was at comic con in san diego this year. we liked em too, but they were missing a little something.
oooo! i know!
bedazzlement.
we were so excited when stacey and jeff told us they wanted to do their first look before their ceremony. we LOVE when couples want to do this.
this was one of the sweetest, most touching first looks we have ever seen.
as stacey turned to see jeff they both smiled and were instantly overcome with a feeling of love that could be felt by everyone in the room. it was an incredible moment to witness.
i’m thinking of submitting this photo to the smithsonian. it shows the rarest of earthly elements… liquid man. just one drop of it can turn you into steel and braun. sadly, stacey unknowingly wiped it away before a sample could be collected.
i love this shot that kim took. if stacey’s eyes had a gauge, it would have read full. seconds after this was taken we witnessed the slightly less rare earthly element… tears.
cut. print. check the gate.
getting back to awesome items at the wedding, next on our list were these mini beach balls. each guest was given a ball and asked to hurl it, with great force, at the newly married couple as they walked down the aisle after saying their i do’s. wait. scratch that. they were asked to toss them softly. ooops.
remember what i said about how much stacey and jeff cared about their guests. they had a tub of fans in case people got hot sitting in the warm california sun during their wedding on the deck at the pacific edge hotel in laguna beach.
stacey is probably wondering if everyone got the memo about soft tossing the beach balls versus chucking them with gusto.
this year’s summer fashion show includes stacey in a stunning white wedding gown, jeff in a dapper grey and black tuxedo, and random photo bomber guy in floral print boardshorts.
aaaaawwww. you guys are so cute together,
and fun,
and dead sexy!
stacey and jeff continued their caring ways by bringing sandals for everyone so the could kick off their fancy shoes and stick their toes in the sand.
fork in the road catering provided the cake. mmmm, cake.
these were some of the best looking (and smelling) desserts i have never had the chance to partake of. as soon as i finished taking these shots the doors flung open and they all disappeared.
as the sun went down the chips stacked up. jeff and stacey had aces casino set up some games for everyone to have a little vegas style action.
winner winner chicken dinner!
at the end of the night everyone got a parting gift to keep them wired. a bag with starbucks coffee and godiva chocolate bars.
the sun may have set on their wedding day, but things are just getting started for stacey and jeff. as ex fellow san diegan eric tan’s awesome art says, adventure is out there! if there is any couple we know that will find it, it’s these two.
thanks again for everything stacey and jeff! from the man catchin beignets after your engagement session to the best pizza in chicago advice. you are both so kind.
enjoy all that life brings you. all things, when shared with the one you love, are good things.
oh, before i go. i thought i should just clarify for everyone what i said in the opening statement of this post. jeff said his favorite costume for girls is wonder woman. sorry if there was any confusion. also, the rare kanye west reference was for jeff. i know you don’t like rap stacey, but it worked so well with the last name and all of the pre-ceremony booty jokes. i had to do it. love you guys!
zipadeedooda bye bye.
