I am the owner and lead photographer of Ohana Photographers, a San Diego based wedding photography studio that specializes in providing clients with artistic and fun wedding day photography with a dash of wedding photojournalism and a sprinkle of fashion photography. We also love to do trash the dress sessions in California or on location after a destination wedding. Although we are based in San Diego, that’s not the only place we shoot weddings. We photograph weddings throughout Southern California and Northern California, as well as destination weddings around the world. We love to travel and are always trying to fill up our destination wedding bingo cards. Past destination weddings, trash the dress sessions, and portrait photography sessions have taken us to Mexico, St. Thomas and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Washington, and the beautiful islands of Hawaii. San Diego weddings are always beautiful, but we absolutely LOVE the opportunity to photograph destination weddings and use our creativity in new places. Personally, I don’t like to be type cast or pigeon holed, so we always try to keep our photographic style fresh while maintaining a timeless quality. Although we never want to stop learning or trying new things there are some things that we will always love to incorporate in our photos, like natural light, bright colors, sun flare, different angles, real emotions, powerful moments, and happy faces. To date, our style of photography has been described many ways, but the descriptions we liked the best were artistic, fun, sexy, and straight out of a fashion magazine. We’ll let you decide though.
